ON THURSDAY, MAY 10th WE ARE HOSTING MARCO BERGAGLIO – THE GAVI KING
WINEMAKER/OWNER OF CASTELLARI BERGAGLIO IN PIEDMONT ITALY
On Thursday, May 10th we are hosting Marco Bergaglio, 4th generation owner/winemaker of the Castellari Bergaglio estate in Piedmont Italy. Marco organically produces pristine wines made from the prized Cortese grape, which translates into his spectacular Gavi wines, both single-vineyard and sparkling bottlings.
Castellari Bergaglio’s history is that of a family who decided to dedicate their time to wine production in the late 19th century. The winery’s objective has always been to make wines whose features are unmistakably linked to the terroir, and to achieve this attention is focused on the Cortese grape variety, emblematic of the Gavi production zone.
Between Piedmont and Liguria, Gavi is a land of extraordinary beauty where time seems to turn slowly, between intact forest and tended vineyards, trails climbing over the hills and magical, tranquility and peace. Here is the origin of Gavi, a wine that for centuries has crossed his path with the history, building a strong and unique personality, great white in a region of great wines.
Imported by Panebianco Wines.
