Catch ’em All: Japanese Grapefruit Sour
When Chef James sent me the latest from Baldor’s seasonal and fresh cocktail ingredients, the Japanese ingredients stood out. With interesting fruits like Yuzu or red and green Shiso leaves, my mind started to wonder. Behold: “Catch ’em All”
Catch ’em All
2 oz. Gin
1/2 oz. Yuzu Juice
1/2 oz. Shiso Leaf Simple Syrup*
1 Egg White
Dry Shake the Egg White and Yuzu Juice.
Add Gin and Shiso Leaf Simple Syrup.
Pour into a Wine Glass.
*to prepare Shiso Leaf Simple syrup. Combine 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. Heat until simmering. Remove from heat and add a handful of Shiso Leaves (7-12). Allow to steep for 10 minutes. Strain and chill.
